Salt + Pepper + EVOO

No fuss cooking - simple food, prepared simply. Salt, Pepper, Extra Virgin Olive Oil. On the menu tonight -

  • Wyebrook's steak - a tasting of strip steak and petite filet - sprinkled liberally with salt and pepper, drizzled with EVOO, grilled
  • Grilled Zucchini, sprinkled with salt and drizzled with EVOO, grilled
  • Pan Roasted Cherry Tomatoes on Baguette

The only seasonings at play - salt, pepper, EVOO.  


For the sautéed cherry tomatoes - heat olive oil in a saute pan, add a pint box of washed cherry tomatoes, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook the tomatoes over medium heat until their skins pop and they give up their juices. Add one chopped clove of garlic, saute a minute or two longer. Serve with baguette - this baguette, a bacon baguette from Daily Loaf - awesome with the tomatoes.    

Dinner: 30 minutes, no fuss, delicious.  Results of the steak tasting - hands down, a tie, both amazing!
