Each piece is thrown on the potters wheel and decorated by hand using a technique called slip trailing where clay is made into a slurry, put into a squeeze bottle and piped onto the surface of each pot.

Working with renewable materials, maker Leigh Heiss works to create pieces that are lightweight, sustainable, affordable and adorable. All hardware used is hypoallergenic surgical stainless steel. All pieces are cut in-house and many are hand painted. Styles available range from fun seasonal pieces that light up holidays to elevated everyday earrings that start conversation.

Coming from a family of botanists, it is hard not to see the beauty in all things flora. When I found the medium of clay it felt like a no brainer to combine them. I work out of my home studio creating each piece with love. I start with wet clay and either throw it on the pottery wheel or build it by hand. Once the structure is created I use that as my canvas. I incorporate nature in many ways from pressing leaves to sculpting flowers petal by petal. The pieces then get fired, glazed, and re-fired. After quality checking, sanding, and photographing my work, they are ready to find their forever homes.

Warwick Furnace Farm is a family-owned and operated lavender farm in rural Glenmoore, Pennsylvania. The farm is located in the heart of the French Creek valley in Chester County, adjacent the historic Warwick Furnace dating back to 1738. The lavender is Certified Naturally Grown and is harvested, distilled and formulated into small batch essential oil and floral mists in a variety of scents, balancing floral facial toner, soothing lavender salves, calming botanical bath soak, as well as dried floral creations and crafts such as sachets, eye pillows, lavender wands, bundles and bouquets. We also have floral-inspired artwork in notecards and prints. In the spring, we offer live lavender plants. Everything we produce is all-natural, and handcrafted on the farm.

After 20 years in academia, Sherri Brouillette made a mid-life change and started Whiskers and String. Sherri combines her love of creating with her love of animals to offer needle felted woodland animals to bring a smile to your face and some whimsy to your home. Each critter is crafted over several hours using one needle and either sheep or alpaca wool. Each of these unique critters promises to be well-behaved and bring some joy to your life.
