All jewelry is handmade in small batches from actual vintage tins, trays and canisters. Each piece is sourced from all over- from thrift shops, yard sales, attic clean outs, estate sales, or your granny’s basement! I recreate the tins into lightweight, sustainable modern, jewelry. I make shapes that I like and think most compliments the gorgeous patterns on the tin. I often add modern hand cut brass pieces and vintage and modern beads to compliment the beautiful patterns on the tin. All scraps go into the recycle bin.

Jackie Henisee is a ceramic artist based in Malvern, PA. Inspired by her adventures outdoors with her darling daughter, Hilary, and her four-legged first born, Slip. Raised in a creatively supportive home, she was immersed in the arts from a young age and went on to study industrial design. As a young product designer, she honed her skills in crafting aesthetic, functional, and ergonomic objects. After earning her degree, she discovered ceramics through a local studio course—a decision that sparked a lasting passion for clay. Her functional ceramic work is distinguished by organic forms and hand-carved surface treatments, brought to life through a variety of firing methods. Jackie’s love for clay, community, and the ever-evolving nature of ceramics continues to grow with every firing.

Coming from a family of botanists, it is hard not to see the beauty in all things flora. When I found the medium of clay it felt like a no brainer to combine them. I work out of my home studio creating each piece with love. I start with wet clay and either throw it on the pottery wheel or build it by hand. Once the structure is created I use that as my canvas. I incorporate nature in many ways from pressing leaves to sculpting flowers petal by petal. The pieces then get fired, glazed, and re-fired. After quality checking, sanding, and photographing my work, they are ready to find their forever homes.
